What was your start in the real estate business?
We started as a franchise of the American real estate chain Century 21, which operates in over 80 countries. We represented them in Bulgaria in the period 2007-2012. They were amazing teachers who gave us the upper hand and motivation for a great result from years of work and many successful deals with satisfied clients.
Were there any obstacles you had to overcome?
We have experienced difficult times since 2009, when we experienced an economic crisis. Another thing that has always been special and with caution - the selection of real estate agents. This is the main engine of every agency on the market. Galardo Real Estate currently has an amazing team of professionals with wide potential.
In what respect did you develop?
The development of Galardo Real Estate is complex. Looking at the location of the office in the top center of Sofia in an aristocratic building, going through the portfolio of the agency, which includes joint partnerships with foreign funds, adding a team formed by specialists in photography, marketing and own lawyers who greatly support agents , Galardo Real Estate has the qualities to be among the best real estate agencies. Our development does not stop there. In line with all technological trends, we also use an internal corporate system that makes it as easy as possible for brokers and gives them full time to be on the ground.
How is your company dealing with the current situation?
Galardo Real Estate is part of the middle and high segment, which, fortunately, was hardly affected by the Coronary Crisis. Contrary to expectations, we see even increased interest and more sales. Among the reasons for this phenomenon is that investing in real estate during a crisis provides security for many people. Additional motivation for investing is given by the memories of going back to the time of the economic crisis, when a famous Bulgarian bank declared bankruptcy. Another probable reason for the increased sales is the accelerated entry into the Eurozone, after which the depreciation of the lev is expected.
What does your development plan envisage in the coming years?
In the coming years we plan to increase the team of real estate agents, as well as development in the departments "Property Management" and "Investment Projects".
What needs to change at the state and industry level to successfully develop the real estate business?
In order to successfully develop the real estate business, it is necessary to require regulation and control by the state over the agencies, as well as to have requirements for them in order to improve the service. It is extremely important to have transparency in our field in order to increase foreign investment in real estate in our country.
