In just ten days, on 24.10, we invite you to a more unusual "Open House" event for connoisseurs in the BLVD Residence building. You will have the opportunity to view 4 of our exclusive apartments, as well as touch the creativity and incredible paintings of our wonderful guest artist.
Raina Stoymirova graduated from secondary special education at the Technical College of Textile Technology - Sofia, majoring in "Artistic layout and desaturation of fabrics" in 1990. In 1996 she graduated from the private art academy "Jules Paskin" - Sofia, majoring in "Painting", in the classes of Iva Vladimirova and Nikolay Maistorov. He is actively present in the artistic life in Bulgaria, realizing 9 solo, 4 joint exhibitions, participating in 4 international and over 30 general exhibitions. In 2021, he won the SBH competition for a creative residency in Cité des Arts, Paris.
What inspires you to create paintings with specific colors?
I am driven by color and how it interacts with form. More and more often, it is not so specific, but reinforced in color, it makes the picture come alive. My way of working undergoes a lot of transformations and often the final result is far from the original idea, but this is an invariable part of the journey... It brings its difficulties and hesitations, but the satisfaction of the finish is incomparable.
What comes first - the idea for the artwork or the choice of colors? Can you talk about your creative process?
Inspiration is all around us, we just need the eyes to see it, the senses to feel it, and the passion to express it in our own way The spectrum of impact is wide… Sources of inspiration are very important, as is the ability to derive meaning of visible and invisible things... I am definitely attracted to the vibration of color, its poetics, its communication with other shades, how a color can come to life or die down in a different situation and how it fits in space.
What role does powerful energy play in your paintings? How do you manage to embody it and convey it to the viewers?
I experiment a lot, for me it's a way to search and find the potential of the artistic material, because it gives me the freedom to express my ideas on canvas. This tireless spirit of seeking and finding is a major driver for me as an author.
What is the relationship between your expressive style and the emotions you want to convey through your paintings?
Abstraction gives me freedom. Through it, I best express my world, my personal experiences and searches. Intense color is my tool. People with similar sensibilities to mine would feel my messages best.
How do you believe your paintings can add value and atmosphere to properties on the market?
A work of art chosen to coexist with the inhabitants of a home creates conditions for a more harmonious life. It also speaks a lot about themselves, about their individuality. It brings its own light and provokes contemplation. Painting can be highly impactful and affect the sense of space, even cosiness. It opens up topics for reflection, broadens horizons, frees the soul and makes it dream. It takes up residence on the wall and imperceptibly lives together with them...
How do you think art can help visualize and represent the potential of a property?
Artwork plays a very important role, it creates excitement. Placed in the right place, they enhance the impression of the interior and enrich the atmosphere. In another, more lively way, they contribute to the overall style of the home and express its character. They are able to completely transform a room into an even better light.
